I have been a Library Media Specialist for 16 years!  I have opened 3 libraries and had the pleasure of serving in both a Children's Library and High School libraries. I'm so proud to be a Falcon!

Before becoming a librarian, I taught high school English for 14 years and later served as an Instructional Coach for several years. 

I LOVE reading, listening to audio books, writing poetry, and being a part of all sorts of book clubs!  You learn SO MUCH from both reading and writing, but also from surrounding yourself with others who read!  

I believe a library has something for everyone.  Of course, we have a large variety of books, book formats, and genres from which to select your reading, but we also have great spaces to study as well as a ton of activities like chess boards, a variety of board games, puzzles that we all put together as a school, STEAM kits for checkout, art items and activities, brain teasers, and several nontraditional items for checkout- like guitars, crochet supplies, and calligraphy resources.! 

I love the sound and feel of students in the library using the space as intended, and my core belief is that every student should be able to come in to the library and feel at home and find something which interests them!
